FAQ’s

1. Why Choose Better Grass?

We provide a quality product and deliver it in a professional manner. Our factory direct relationship provides fast and reliable service and we pride ourselves on our excellent customer service.

2. Is Better Grass expensive?

The once only initial outlay is naturally going to be more expensive than laying real turf. Please contact us for a free measure and quote, you will be pleasantly surprised by how competitive we are.

3. How long will my artificial grass last?

It’s hard to give artificial grass a life span. Suffice to say, it will last many years. The artificial grass we use is basically unaffected by the elements – it is UV stabilized and water-resistant. The manufacturer’s warranty lasts for 7 years on most grasses, but it should last many more years after that.

4. How do I maintain my new synthetic turf?

Our artificial grass is virtually maintenance free, you just need to remove debris and leaves to maintain and enjoy your grass for many years. Cleaning can be achieved with a broom or leaf blower. Broom (or blow) against the natural grain of the grass to make the blades of grass stand up. This will re-fluff the grass and get any dirt off. You can give the artificial grass a light hose down if there has been no rain for a few weeks.

5. Will weeds come through the grass?

Periodically a weed will try to come up, most commonly on the edges near concrete. It is possible to see one come up in a drain hole. If that happens simply pull up the weed and spray the area with a little weed killer, it will stop the weed from coming up again and won’t harm the turf.

6. How does it drain?

The drainage is very similar to natural grass. The turf backing has many perforated holes allowing for water to drain vertically.

7. Is it easy to clean up the dog droppings?

Pick up the solids as usual and then hose it down if necessary. Hose down the grass at least once a week where the dog usually urinates. This will typically clean and deodorize the grass.

8. I want to install artificial grass around the pool, as I’m sick of grass clippings in the pool, but will the chlorine or salt water affect the grass?

No. Your artificial grass will be unaffected. In fact artificial grass is ideal around a pool.

9. How long does the installation take?
